Danielle Castaldi-Micca

Vice President of Political and Government Affairs

Danielle Castaldi-Micca (she/her) joined NIRH and the NIRH Action Fund in January 2014. As Vice President of Political and Government Affairs, she develops and implements legislative strategy at the state and local level to promote proactive abortion, contraception, and reproductive rights legislation in New York and in coalition with partners across the country. She also oversees government affairs and administrative advocacy work in the state house and city halls. Danielle also manages electoral engagement for local, county and state level elections and runs our PAC. Prior to joining NIRH, she worked in state and local government in New York, serving as Director of Women’s Community Affairs for the New York City Council, and providing constituent services in a New York State Senate office. Danielle has also worked on many electoral campaigns in New York City, managing field and GOTV programs. Danielle is a proud graduate of Smith College and has made Brooklyn her home for over 20 years. She currently lives in Bushwick with her husband and loves to cook elaborate meals, crochet gifts for the babies in her life, and be overly competitive at trivia.
