Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division, Maternal and Child Health

NIRH worked with the Wyoming Department of Health from 2019-2020 to improve access to LARC at federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and rural health clinics (RHCs). After working together to successfully complete a cost analysis of Medicaid reimbursement policy changes, policies are now in place for FQHCs and RHCs to receive full reimbursement for LARC. We followed up by working to support clinics and providers on the implementation of this new service. Finally, the Department of Health convened a statewide advisory task force to help inform best practices for LARC policy decisions.
