Post Midterms Press Call with Reproductive Rights Advocates
On Tuesday, November 15 at 12 PM ET, leaders of organizations fighting for reproductive freedom around the country — who successfully led efforts to protect abortion rights and access in their states — came together to discuss the results of this year’s midterm elections. Andrea Miller (she/her), the President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health and leaders from partner advocacy groups in Kentucky, Michigan, California, and Pennsylvania offered short remarks on their organizations’ successes and where they will go from here before answering reporters’ questions about the post-Roe landscape.
Panelists offering remarks were Julie Zaebst (she/her), ACLU of Pennsylvania; Daniel Hamilton (he/him), YWCA Kalamazoo, Michigan; Xochitl Lopez-Ayala (she/her), ACCESS RJ in California; and Erin E.H. Smith (they/them), Kentucky Health Justice Network.
