NIRH is partnering with New Voices for Reproductive Justice (New Voices) and Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN) at The Ohio State University (OSU) to investigate the effects of Ohio’s temporary six-week abortion ban on adverse pregnancy and health outcomes for those within the state, specifically for Black pregnancy-capable people. New Voices and OPEN at OSU have entered a collaboration to conduct research on the ban, disseminate their findings to the wider public and stakeholders, and center the Black pregnant and birthing people most affected. In the context of an upcoming ballot initiative and the six-week ban still being litigated in court, NIRH is excited to assist in this pivotal research.
