I Was Part of Change
By Theresa
Today was the day I, Theresa Twum, got to vote. Being the only person in my family qualified to vote makes me feel so special. Being my first time voting, I had no idea what to expect. I thought about how long the lines were going to be and about the time I would have to wait in line. To my surprise the lines were very long but moved very quickly. By the time I knew it, I was ready to slide my ballot into the voting box. On my way to TORCH, all I could think about was how lucky and blessed I am to be an American. Not everyone in the USA gets to vote, so for me it was a big deal. It feels so good to be an American when it comes to Election Day because your vote does count.
