NIRH provided research support and strategic guidance to Blue Mountain Clinic (BMC) in their development of a Missoula Local Reproductive Freedom Index, which tailored NIRH’s Local Reproductive Freedom Index template to the specific reproductive needs of Missoula residents including gender expansive patients, Indigenous clients, and multi-generational families. In collaboration with NIRH, BMC identified the next steps in advocating for municipal funding for abortion in Missoula’s unique political environment and how to use those findings for advocacy in other cities or in the state.
