In 2013, NIRH worked with the South Carolina Coalition for Healthy Families, a network of organizations that advocates, educates, and collaborates to expand access to sexual and reproductive health information, services, and rights for all South Carolinians. Achieving the goals of enhancing accessibility, affordability, and availability of the full range of sexual and reproductive health services for all South Carolinians required SCCHF to restructure its coalition operations and create a more inclusive and engaged network. NIRH partnered with this necessary coalition in South Carolina early in its development, helping to hone the coalition’s mission, vision, and focus, so that it would have a solid foundation on which to build power and increase its advocacy potential.
