Gaining Ground Series 2014 Year in Review — Building Momentum: Proactive Reproductive Health and Rights Legislation in the States

2014 was the first year that NIRH produced a report tracking proactive state legislation on reproductive health and rights. 

This report was groundbreaking in that it was the first report detailing how advocates and legislators promoted state-level legislation that affirmatively supports women’s reproductive and sexual health, rights, dignity, and autonomy.
