Advancing Repro Freedom in Cities and Counties: Tools for Advocates and Policymakers

NIRH created four resources in association with the launch of the first edition of the Local Reproductive Freedom Index in 2017. These tools are designed for advocates, policymakers, and candidates to advance reproductive freedom in their cities and counties. These tools are available for download and you are encouraged to share and use them with your community, allies, and elected officials.

- Advancing Reproductive Freedom through Local Elections: A Tool for Advocates provides guidance to local advocates on how you can use the Local Index in electoral work on the local level.
- Campaigning for Reproductive Freedom in your Community: A Tool for Candidates provides guidance for candidates on how to use the Local Index to incorporate reproductive freedom policies into their platform and talk about these issues on the campaign trail.
- Advancing Reproductive Freedom in Your City: A Tool for Policymakers provides guidance to local policymakers and elected officials on how to work with local advocates to use the Local Index to develop a vision and strategy for reproductive freedom in their cities.
