Surge Reproductive Justice worked for three years to gather stories of people negatively impacted by discriminatory health care policies like the Hyde Amendment and the five-year bar on immigrants’ access to federally funded health care. In 2018, NIRH supported Surge in calling for dedicated funding from the City of Seattle in support of immigrants’ access to reproductive health care, including abortion, regardless of their citizenship status. This project is supported by NIRH in partnership with All* Above All.
