ShelLynn Beasley (she/they) is a Program Associate at the National Institute for Reproductive Health. At NIRH, ShelLynn supports partners by providing strategic guidance, technical assistance, and administrative support. Before NIRH, ShelLynn worked on initiatives to expand the community health worker workforce, decrease infant and maternal mortality rates during childbirth, increase access to contraception for Chicago youth, and provide space for survivors of gender-based violence to heal in community. ShelLynn is a graduate of DePaul University with a degree in Women’s and Gender studies and African and Black Diaspora studies. Along with their work at NIRH, ShelLynn enjoys taking dance classes, getting lost in a book, and discovering new parks with their dog Miso (like the soup).
