The following is a statement from National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) President Andrea Miller

New York – Today, Andrea Miller, President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health, released the following statement reacting to Senate Republicans’ refusal to allow amendments that would bring the Reproductive Health Act (RHA) and Comprehensive Contraceptive Coverage Act (CCCA) to a vote on the Senate Floor.

“Once again, Senate Republicans have put partisan politics above women’s rights, health, and safety,” said Andrea Miller, President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health. “These bills are critical to ensuring access to vital reproductive health services, including affordable contraception and abortion care. Failure to bring them to a vote endangers women’s health and well-being, and keeps New York’s laws in the dark ages. NIRH commends our champions for standing up for reproductive health, rights, and justice and looks forward to working with them to carry this fight forward.”
