The following is a statement from National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) President Andrea Miller

“Yesterday, the Senate Health Committee voted along party lines, once again failing to advance the Reproductive Health Act to the Senate floor for a vote,” said Andrea Miller, President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health. “After two days of abrubtly abbreviated sessions, the New York State Senate has just 11 working days left to protect important abortion and contraception access rights that are under relentless attack at the federal level. New York has a real opportunity to lead on these issues; we’re calling on the Senate majority to show that leadership and do the right thing by bringing these bills to the floor.”
