California Black Women’s Health Project

The California Black Women’s Health Project is a statewide, non-profit organization that is solely committed to improving the health of California’s 1.2 million Black women and girls through advocacy, education, outreach and policy.

It focuses on empowering Black women to take personal responsibility for their own health and to advocate for changes in policies that negatively affect Black women’s health status.

NIRH partnered with the California Black Women’s Health Project 2009 to host the West Coast Summit for the Urban Initiative for Reproductive Health, NIRH’s first project dedicated solely to local reproductive health care.
