Women’s Way is the Greater Philadelphia region’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of women, girls, and gender and racial equity.
In 2013, NIRH partnered with Women’s Way to develop a campaign with grassroots supporters and social justice allies to urge passage of a resolution supporting insurance coverage of abortion by the Philadelphia City Council. This effort built on the unanimous passage of a resolution in support of insurance coverage of abortion passed by the Philadelphia Board of Health in 2013. This project was conducted in partnership with Abortion Liberation Fund of PA, (formerly Women’s Medical Fund).
