Kristina Lugo (she/her/ella) is the Director of People and Operations at NIRH and NIRH Action Fund. She currently oversees People Operations, previously known as Human Resources, and ensures efficiency in the day-to-day administrative functions for the organization. People Operations approaches the more commonly known “HR” function with a focus on people & culture, building onto NIRH’s commitment to valuing equity and belonging in the workplace.
Previously, Kristina worked at Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education for 10 years where she served as Interim Co-Executive Director for 8 months, and held the role of Deputy Director, Finance and Operations. Her work in her previous role supported the growth and infrastructure of the organization. She has a deep commitment to approaching the work with kindness and humility.
