On July 1st, 2023, the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) announced a 17-state (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, VA) reproductive freedom initiative happening in year two of a post-Roe reality. These states reflect diverse political environments and degrees of access to reproductive health care, but all represent places where NIRH and our partners see unique opportunities to forge meaningful abortion access, address maternal mortality, and mitigate the harm people continue to experience when abortion is banned in their state. From New Jersey and New York to Arizona and Georgia, NIRH’s 17-state initiative will partner with advocates on the ground to advance bold policies that push the boundaries of all levels of government.

Coming soon to this page: details about each partner and the work we’re doing together to ensure access to reproductive health care, including abortion, is just and equitable for all.
